Come SING with Xiang Yin!!
The Xiangyin Chorus, which is well-known and very active in the New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia area, was established in 2001. In January 1999, the renowned Chinese traditional ink painter Aixinjueluo Hengyi moved to the United States and settled in New Jersey with her husband Lu Bin, who is an established baritone singer and respected music educator. In an effort to promote Chinese cultural traditions and Sino-US cultural exchanges, and to meet local Chinese community's demand for access to music from their ancestry home, Lu Bin, joined by his friends and fellow vocal music enthusiasts Yuanqi Wen and Yuejin Li, founded the Xiangyin Chorus and registered the name "Edison Chinese Chorus" with the New Jersey State. The Xiangyin Chorus is no longer associated with the Edison Chinese Chorus, it is a 501C3 non-profit organization registered with and approved by the New Jersey State Government. During the past 18 years and on a voluntary basis, Lu Bin has served as the artistic director, and devoted his energy and worked tirelessly towards the choir's growth.
